J150x150-10090

It’s o.k. to admit it.  Sometimes we all get a little freaked out about performing in front of people.  I guess you could say it’s just part of the gig. Stage fright is much more common among performers than you might think.  Barbra Streisand has such intense stage fright that her entire choreography is built [...]

Day 2 of the Seattle X-Factor auditions is now behind me.  The thousands of aspiring singers voices are still ringing in my ears; some great, a lot of good and a good measure of….not.  The golden tickets are still being cautiously handed out as I type.  And another thing that’s happening right now is that [...]

Mastering the Stage

J284x423-08181

How many times have you watched someone on stage and just wished it would all be over? How may songs on American Idol have you fast forwarded through? Me too. And it explains why so many performers have stage fright when it comes to taking the stage themselves. Xfactor1

Should you audition for The X Factor? How do you know if it’s worth it? Sure there’s the 5 million dollar recording contract with Sony Records for the winner, but let’s be honest; TV talent contests are 95% TV show and 5% talent focused. I’m not dissing them. They serve a purpose and can give an artist great exposure, but if you believe the only thing you can get out of them is top prize then you’ll miss the other benefits opportunities like these can bring you. So let’s break it down.
