Artist consults are one hour Skype sessions to give you the custom instruction for where you are and where you want to be. Singers: Get a customize audition plan and work your songs to perfection Indies: Get a re-vamped live show plan that will super-charge your fan base, sell more product and gain the attention of bigger fish. Whatever you need, this is your time. Kim Snyder has made her living as a session and live vocalist and voice talent from the age of 15 and has been an indie artist, labeled and non for several years. Kim is a singer and BMI songwriter who has sold over 2,000 CD’s in less than a year and booked main stage gigs at festivals and venues like Nascar. She coaches independent artists and is a requested special speaker at conferences and workshops. |
It doesn’t get much more convenient than coaching one on one from the comfort of your home. Some students study in other places like in the Starbucks parking lot, a hotel when on the road or anywhere they find wifi. And when wifi just isn’t an option you can still have your session. Artist Consult FAQ
| How do I schedule my consult? | Once you pay for your sessions you’ll be forwarded to a form to enter some information we need. We offer artist consults on Wednesdays but if your schedule doesn’t allow for that day you can let us know the times that are best for you and we’ll see what we can do. |
| How do I pay? | You’ll be able to pay with any major credit or debit card or through your Paypal account. Your order is completely secure. |
| What do I need to do a skype session? | All you need is a computer with a webcam, a high speed internet connection and a free Skype account. |
| How does a consult work? |
We will call you via Skype at your scheduled consult time. That’s it! It’s rare that connection issues cause too many problems. Most issues can be prevented by following the list below: |
| How can I prevent connection issues? |
Restart your computer before your scheduled time and avoid starting any other programs, especially your email program. If you share your DSL with other electronic devices in your home (cable tv, etc.) your video will be higher quality if others are not accessing programming via your connection at the same time as your Skype call. If you have a connection speed of over 10mbs this shouldn’t be a problem. |
| How do I check my connection speed? | Go to Speed Test and follow the instructions. Your download speed is the speed at which Skype will connect. If your connection speed is less than 4mbs you may experience loss of video quality in your session but you can still Skype. |
| How I can record my consult? |
You can record Skype audio FREE with this application for Mac or PC. You can record your Skype session and keep it as a video file with a simple, cheap application called Call Recorder (Mac). It’s under $20 and offers a free trial (records up to 15 min). If you want to record video on your PC, try the Supertintin Skype Call Recorder ($30) or Pamela ($25) Their free version records up to 15min. |
| What if I have to cancel? | If you need to cancel a scheduled consult just let us know at least 24hrs. in advance. We will reschedule for a more convenient time. We cannot reschedule sessions cancelled with less than 24hr. notice and refunds are not available. |
