Are You Exciting to Watch on Stage?

Ever had one of those times when you’re like “why am I even up here?”  I have.  Despite planning the set list, preparing the music and getting all the million other details together that go together with booking a show, there you are, finally on stage to do your thing and it just falls flat.  You’re bored with your own music and try as you might, the audience is reflecting the sentiment too.

Sometimes we put so much work into booking and preparing for a performance that we forget the importance of designing the show itself.  Tom Jackson is a master of building a show that’ll kick your audience into high gear every time.  I hung with Tom a bit at an event I did in Kansas City and the interesting thing he told me is that the stage performance problems of the hundreds of major label artists he’s worked with and the every day independent artist are no different; everyone gets bored with their own stuff or defaults to  the one or two things they’ve seen and thought were cool or some moves someone told them they should do.  We do it without really knowing why and we just hope it’ll work.

What if every element of your show was designed on purpose in a way that consistently created excitement and loyalty in your audience every time?  That’s what Tom Jackson does.  And he’s so good at it that when he’s not on location with label artists, other singers flock to his workshops and boot camps in Nashville.

Tom has a bootcamp coming up in October.   It’ll be two full days of classes, hands-on demonstrations, and instruction that will make your live show absolutely memorable.  If you do any kind of performing from stage, I can personally tell you this will be one of the greatest investments you can make in your music.
